Arnarstapi, a small fishing village at the foot of Mt. Stapafell, on the southern side of the Peninsula has a coastline and beach renowned for its natural beauty. There is a popular hiking path across a lava field next to the beach with amazing views including basalt sea stacks, cliffs, ravines and an impressive stone arch, Gatklettur.
