Snæfellsjökull National Park, named after its glacier-topped volcano,is on the tip of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Its coastline include seal watching beaches (Ytri Tunga), black sand & pebble beaches (Djupalonssandur), scenic churches (Budir), stunning basalt cliffs (Londrangar), and the definitive Mt. Kirkjufell and its associated waterfalls (Kirkjufellfoss).The Park is also next to the seaport village of Arnarstapi (see Gallery) with its unique coastal lava formations.
