Picturesque Horse Trough Falls, at 70 feet (21 meters), is located on a creek which along with several nearby creeks form the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River. An observation platform at the falls can be reached via the Horse Trough Falls Trail from the Upper Chattahoochee Campground. The road running past the campground follows the river (full of people "Tubing the Hooch") down-stream for the next several miles to the city of Helen. Between the waterfall and numerous scenic creeks, photo opportunities are in abundance.
