Gljúfrabúi is a small “canyon dwelling” waterfall north of Seljalandsfoss near the Ring Road on the South Coast of Iceland. It’s partially hidden within a narrow basalt canyon and moss-covered cliffs where water cascades 131 feet (40 meters) into a plunge pool. If you enter the canyon, you will get wet (along with your camera) so I decided to stay outside, observe the quickly growing crowd and take short peeks inside to catch the waterfall as much as possible. About a 10 minute walk past a few caves and unnamed waterfalls and streams is Seljalandsfoss (see Gallery).
