Located in the North between Akureyri and Lake Myvatn, Godafoss (also known as the Waterfall of the Gods) is one of the most spectacular and elegant waterfalls in Iceland. Just off the Ring Road and fed by the Skjalfandafljot River, Godafoss (39 feet high--12 meters and over 98 feet wide--30 meters) may be viewed from either side of the river, providing awe-inspiring perspectives and multiple opportunities for images.
