Bogor, a city in West Java, is famous for its Botanical Gardens which include fountains, lakes, streams and hilly trails. From Bogor, one can take a road passing picturesque mountain resorts all the way to Puncak, a weekend retreat for Jakarta residents. The cool, fresh air, magnificent views, and sunsets are spectacular. Other activities include tea field walks (from the picking of tea, to the making of the tea, to the serving of the tea).
