Fjallsarlon, a glacier lagoon just off Ring Road near the larger and better known Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon (see Gallery), is fed by Fjallsjokull, an outlet glacier tongue of Vatnajokull. Icebergs break off from the glacier and fall into the lagoon below often colliding in audible noise. Since the lagoon is not connected to the ocean, the icebergs remain here until they melt creating an amazing and constantly changing experience.
